Yoga + Aromatherapy: Connecting Breath, Body, Mind

The breath. This is the common factor of yoga and aromatherapy.

Being aware of your breath when doing yoga—and any form of physical activity, for the matter—allows the body to release toxins, the mind to relax, and brings on an overall sense of peace. Aromatherapy utilises the sense of smell to achieve emotional, mental, and physical balance. When these two are combined, their relaxation and invigorating effects are amplified.

Following the aroma yoga Art of Letting Go session led by Brandon at the recent RevOILution, our studio is privileged to host two aromatherapy yoga workshops in partnership with Young Living.

Date: Monday, 11 September
Time slot 1: 5pm to 7pm
Time slot 2: 7.30pm to 9.30pm
Venue: Yoga Instiinct Main studio, 13A Upper Circular Road
Cost: $40, with a 5ml bottle of Young Living lavender essential oil

The workshop will be led by Ed Dailey, who has been reaching yoga since the year 2000 and has been a practitioner for more than 14 years. A Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider, Ed completed the Urban Zen Integrative Therapy program by Donna Karan, Rodney Yee, and Colleen Yee, where essential oils were integrated into yoga therapy. He has utilised yoga therapy for 18 months on the oncology and surgical floors of Beth Israel Medical Center, New York City.

Over the years, Ed has been using essential oils to enhance his yoga practice. As a continuing educator for Young Living, he brings his personal experience of combining essential oils with yoga for self-care, so as to create wellness and peace in life.

Come share of his knowledge in a 2-hour workshop that is open to all levels, no prior yoga experience required. There are 2 workshop time slots available, Ed will share the same content in both.
